Well, this is still a test page for now, but it will eventually become our horse page.

For now,  what we have are some photos and some videos. One thing to remember though, is that I have not exactly ridden a lot since I lost my
horses back in 1994. I am very out of practise and I'm going to have to work very hard indeed to get back into practise
because both of our
horses have received only the most basic of educations, such as how to carry a rider, turn, stop, and change gait in response to aids
.
The Video to the left is one I found on Youtube, but it
is one that I think everyone who rides or wants to
ride should watch very carefully.

So few people truly understand the sheer amount of
horrifying damage that can be caused to a horses'
mouth by the hands of its' rider.
In loving memory of the Standardbred Stallion:

Franks Gift
( Shipshape Lobell x Peggy Marie)

Franks' Gift was purchased in Newcastle, Australia as a 12 year old pacing stallion who was doomed to go to slaughter due to
the fact that he was not one of those horses who's spirit could be broken by the application of many beatings, something that is
all too commonly seen in the Australian Standardbred Trainers.  Far from being the "killer" horse who actually placed four
drivers into hospital ICU wards, I discovered a high spirited, strong minded, but very gentle horse  upon whom I could place a
child safely and teach them to ride. Despite being told it was impossible, I decided to train this stallion in dressage, an art in
which he began to show great potential. He learned easily and quickly, and when seen in person under saddle, he was so
remarkably charismatic that people would stop their cars by the side of the road just to watch him. Though he was not a tall
horse, he possessed great strength, and a rare extravagance of movement that made it hard to take ones eyes from him.  Had I
not lost him under terrible circumstances, he was a horse that could have gone a very long way indeed in the dressage arena.
Thanks to things going so well for us, we were able to purchase a second horse for myself. Her name is AK Camino, a very personable
purebred arabian mare
of mostly Polish bloodlines, with a strong touch of Spanish bred influence from the Stallion, "Barich de Washoe"
imported from Spain. Another famous name in her pedigree is that world renowned and truly great imported stallion from Poland, "Bask".
Ak Camino is a fiery, hot and very spirited mare who also possesses great intelligence and extreme gentleness towards those she knows and
loves. She never requires more than a mild verbal chastisement, and has a great willingness and desire to learn.

The video to the left is of
AK Camino's first bareback ride,
not to mention her first time being
ridden in an arena with other
horses.

The video to the right is of Styx,
the chestnut arabian mare who was
y Camino's next door neighbor at
the ranch we purchased her from..
The second horse you see is
AK Camino herself.
The pictures and videos immediately below are of the appendix quarter horse mare that we purchased for my husband. Her
name is "Stars March".

Stars March has quite a proud bloodline, she is a direct descendant of that truly great raciing stallion, "Man O War".

Now passed on due to old age.

both of us as he was purchased
by myself as a weanling and
given to my younger sister as a
birthday gift as a yearling.

A random collection of horse photos and the odd video as their training progresses. Again, please
forgive my poor riding as it has been a long time between rides for me, and I am now attempting
to not only remember how to ride, but how to train two completely green horses.
